Vung Tau is not only famous for its blue beaches and fresh seafood, but also for its modern and trendy check-in locations. One of the most popular spots among young travelers and visitors today is Marina Vung Tau – a yacht marina designed with a distinct European vibe. If you are looking for a place where you can both relax and capture stunning photos, this is definitely a must-visit destination.
Where is Marina Vung Tau? How to Get There
Marina Vung Tau is located on Street No.1, Dong Xuyen Industrial Zone, Rach Dua Ward, Vung Tau City. Although it is a bit farther from Bai Truoc and Bai Sau beaches, the route is easy and convenient.
From the city center, it takes about 15–20 minutes by motorbike or car to reach the marina. The roads are wide and easy to follow on Google Maps. Based on my experience, visiting in the late afternoon is the best choice so you can combine sightseeing with sunset watching – the most beautiful time of the day here.

A Luxurious European-Style Marina Space
The first impression when arriving at Marina Vung Tau is the spacious and airy setting, with rows of white yachts anchored on clear blue water. The scenery makes many visitors feel as if they are standing at a harbor somewhere in Europe.
The dominant white and blue tones blend beautifully with the sky and river, creating an incredibly photogenic background. You can easily take elegant and stylish photos without much editing.
Besides the yachts, the pier area, waiting lounge, and wooden walkways by the river are thoughtfully designed, perfect for couple photos, group shots, or fashion-style pictures.

Canoe and Yacht Experiences on the River
One of the highlights of Marina Vung Tau is the opportunity to experience canoe or yacht rides along the Dinh River. Visitors can book short tours to explore the river and admire the city from a completely different perspective.
Sitting on a canoe gliding smoothly across the water, feeling the cool breeze and enjoying the riverside scenery is truly refreshing. If you are traveling with a larger group, you can even rent a private yacht for birthday parties, small gatherings, or simply to enjoy a luxurious experience on the water.
From my experience, you should check the prices in advance and choose a late afternoon time slot to combine the trip with sunset viewing.
The Most Beautiful Sunset Spot in Vung Tau
If you ask me when Marina Vung Tau looks its best, the answer is definitely at sunset. As the sun slowly descends toward the horizon, the entire marina is bathed in a warm golden-orange glow.
The sunlight reflecting on the water creates a magical and sparkling effect, perfect for silhouette shots or artistic photos. With just a light dress or a bright outfit, you can easily capture a “mini Europe” vibe right in Vung Tau.
The ideal time to catch the sunset is from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, depending on the season.

Entrance Fees and Best Time to Visit
Marina usually charges an entrance fee (the price may vary depending on the period). Services such as canoe rides or yacht rentals are charged separately.
For the best experience, you should:
Visit on weekdays to avoid crowds.
Avoid noon hours as it can be quite sunny.
Bring a hat and sunglasses if visiting in the afternoon.
If you love photography, traveling with friends is a good idea so you can help each other capture the best angles.
Travel Tips for Visiting Marina Vung Tau
After my visit, here are a few useful tips:
Come in the late afternoon to avoid the heat and enjoy the sunset.
Wear bright-colored outfits to stand out against the white yachts.
Fully charge your phone or camera because you will take lots of photos.
Follow safety rules and keep the area clean.
Marina Vung Tau is not as crowded or noisy as the central beaches. Instead, it offers a calm, modern, and slightly upscale atmosphere. It is an ideal stop if you want to experience a different side of Vung Tau – more elegant, more refined, and full of relaxing vibes.
If I have the chance to return to this coastal city, I would definitely spend another afternoon at Marina, watching the sunset and enjoying the peaceful ambiance amid the vibrant tourism scene.
